Martin County residents have always stayed connected to local issues. They have been much more involved in local government than folks in most other places. Perhaps this is due to the relatively small size of our county, or it may be that we all realize how wonderful and unique our small piece of Florida is and how important it is to preserve. One thing is certain. Our residents’ involvement has resulted in better government.

If you are new to Martin County you can become more involved in your government and your future by attending the Board of County Commissioners meetings at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesdays. We encourage the public to attend and to speak directly to us. You can also watch the Commission meetings on Martin County TV (MCTV) on cable channel 20 on Tuesdays or the rebroadcasts of the meetings throughout the week. MCTV also has very informative programs about Martin County history and events and lists of upcoming meetings, hearings, and presentations.
